Boscombe in Bournemouth will benefit from £21.7m as part of the Chancellor’s ‘Town’s Fund’ which was announced on Wednesday. The ambitious plans include the redevelopment of the Sovreign Shopping Centre to form “a neighbourhood of streets and high-quality commercial units and homes”, a new square, the refubishment of the Royal Arcade and over 500 new homes.
Boscombe Spa and the whole area south of the Christchurch Road benefited enourmously from the previous 2009 regeneration (linked to the failed surf reef) and demand for property rose substantially as a result. This further injection of funds could further boost the area so Buy-To-Let investors might want to consider their next property investment here.
