Yet again rents have risen in the South West as can be seen from this Rightmove graphic. This is certainly the situation we are experiencing here at Harker & Bullman. We continue to receive numerous quality applications for each rental property advertised.

Whilst this may be good news for Landlords with regards to rising rents and a choice of applicants, we appreciate that it’s a very competitive market for would be tenants seeking accommodation. Despite all the new housing being built in the area, this beautiful part of the world continues to remain in demand as a place to permanently live and there simply aren’t enough homes, rental or otherwise, to meet demand.

Sadly the situation does not look like changing any time soon. We therefore recommend tenants searching for new accommodation speak to as many agents as possible. Remember to check ALL of the portals (Rightmove, OnTheMarket and Zoopla) daily, to give themselves the best chance of securing a viewing.
